Who doesn’t love the Wizard of Oz book series?  Well, we have a treat for you!  The Friends have available for your purchase a set of fifteen (15) books about Oz, written by Frank L. Baum, and four (4) written by Ruth P. Thompson. Prices found on the internet for the individual books ranged from $23.00 to $441.00 each  for the Baum editions and from $244.00 to $557.00 each for the Thompson editions.  What a find!  Most of the books have illustrations by John R. Neill and were published by Reilly & Lee.

Lonesome Dove is the only one with a dust jacket, is protected with a mylar cover, and is in fine condition. Ask about them at the monthly book sale, happening the first Saturday of every month from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at the San Carlos Library. McMurty, Larry, Lonesome Dove, Simon & Shuster, 1985, 843 pp., SIGNED ( $129.50 $428.50 ). The error noted on publication: Use of €˜none instead of €˜done , line 16, p 621, is present.
