Local Artists
Each month the San Carlos Friends of the Library sponsors an artist to show his/her work in the San Carlos Library’s Community Room. This room may be accessed through the double doors on the left hand wall of the library through the Children’s section. The light switch is on the wall to the right. The art takes many forms and is not limited to water color, oil, or photography. Many of the artists will have a reception sometime during the first week of their show. Here you can chat with the artist, enjoy refreshments and perhaps purchase one of the artist’s works. The artist usually donates a percentage of the sale price to the SCFOL.
To see who our upcoming featured artists are, look under “Artist Schedule” under Artists or check the Event Calendar.
If you are an artist who would like to show your artwork at the library, please leave a note with the San Carlos library personnel for our Art Coordinator. Include your name, phone number/e-mail address and the medium in which you work. She will help you decide whether your work can be shown to its best advantage in this venue. She can also be contacted by e-mail at artists@sancarlosfriendsofthelibrary.org.
