FRIENDSHIPS: SCFOL offers many opportunities to volunteer and meet your neighbors and new friends.

SUPPORT OF YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD BRANCH LIBRARY: Without the support of the members of the San Carlos Friends of the Library, there would be no Monthly Used book Sales, display of art in the library, monthly programs such as speakers and OASIS, annual student writing contest, or prizes and programs for the Summer Reading Program, or Wii gaming/movies for the youth programs.

NEWSLETTER: Periodically, the SCFOL publishes a newsletter to keep you updated on the happenings at the San Carlos Branch Library . This will be mailed to your home as a membership benefit.

E-MAIL REMINDERS:  Send your e-mail address to the membership chairperson, and you will receive timely reminders of upcoming SCFOL events.

BOOK RENTAL and GREAT COURSES COLLECTION: Can’t find a title in the library? For members only, newly purchased books can be rented for on $0.25 per day. These books are located in a freestanding bookcase just inside the library’s east door’s security gate. The list of new titles available can be found on this website under BOOKS AND MATERIALS and in the  SCFOL Newsletter. Do you have a suggestion for a book you would like the Friends to purchase? Leave a note with a librarian addressed to Program’s Chairperson of the SCFOL or email her .
